Somewhere, Tom Selleck is Laughing

Rosie O'Donnell and her kids killed a hammerhead shark on a fishing vacation.  More than one, if the story is correct, as they say "hammerhead sharks."

So, apparently it's okay to kill an endangered animal, as long as you do it slowly with a sharp, barbed hook, and not with a gun.

  1. BTW, just in case you don't get the Selleck reference, it refers to the time Rosie had Tom on her talk show to, ostensibly, talk about his latest movie. At one point, though, she essentially ambushed him over his affiliation with the National Rifle Association.

That just pisses me off. I won't even use things with shark oil in it because I refuse to support the industry. The article mentions that the fishing she does is little compared to the shark fishing industry but what about the other fishermen we don't know about? Say there's 100 fishermen catching big sharks every day, that's 100 sharks gone forever. Because of the over fishing of sharks, there's been a huge rise in jellyfish and seal populations and a reduction in fish population (Caused by the larger jellyfish and seal populations). Shame on Rosie O'Donnell.
